语言系统中处处都有文化系统的缩影,一门语言可以成为了解一种文化的钥匙。语言本身不可能产生性别歧视.所以语言中的性别歧视现象都是一定文化的缩影,在西方文化中也存在着很大的性别歧视现象,这也在英语语言上有很多的反映,主要体现在词汇、语法、谚语、语义和谚语中,这些表象的性别歧视都折射出英美文化中的文化背景、男女社会地位以及文化意识。全文将从英语语言性别歧视的角度,深入解读语言性别歧视中的文化根源。

Language systems everywhere are epitome of cultural systems, and a language can be a key to understanding a culture. Sexist language itself can not produce, so the language of gender discrimination is the epitome of a certain culture. In Western culture, there is also a lot of cultural awareness. From the perspective of gender discrimination, this thesis gives in - depth interpretation of the language in the cultural roots of gender discrimina- tion.
