This paper studies the definition and classification of voltage stability,introduce static and dynamic analysis method of voltage stability so far with a comprehensive analysis of voltage stability analysis method. The static analysis method include singular value decomposition method, the sensitivity method, the continu-ous power flow method and the collapse point method;the dynamic analysis method include Small perturbation analysis, time-domain simulation method, energy function method and bifurcation theory. And comprehen-sively analyze and evaluate analysis method of voltage stability. we summarize the feature of voltage stability a-nalysis method and look into the future development direction.
