Wide Area Backup Protection Communication Mode and Its Performance Evaluation

摘要 良好的广域通信系统(wide area communication s y s t e m,WA C S)对广域后备保护(w i d e-a r e a b a c k u p protection,WABP)正确、快速地切除电网故障具有至关重要的作用,但目前的广域通信系统不能很好地满足WABP的需求。该文针对中国电力通信网,根据WABP的广域通信特点,研究了WABP的通信模式,包括广域通信服务模型和通信网络。在通信服务模型方面,继承了IEC 61850标准,并提出了减小广域通信流量的措施。在广域通信网络方面,提出了以太网接入方式的同步数字体系以太网(Ethernet over synchronous digital hierarchy,EOS)的传输模式,并建立了基于以太虚拟专线业务(Ethernet virtual private line,EVPL)的广域通信网络。最后对所提出的WABP通信模式的网络性能评估指标进行了分析。IEEE 14节点广域网络的仿真结果表明,采用以太网接入的EOS传输模式的广域通信网络,并采取相应的优先级区分、优先级队列(priority queue,PQ)调度等提高网络服务质量措施后,很好地满足了WABP各类业务的网络时延约束和功能需求,明显优于准同步数字系列(plesiochronous digital hierarchy,PDH)接入方式。 Well-performed wide area communication system (WACS) is crucial for wide-area backup protection (WABP) to trip faults correctly and rapidly in power grid. But existing WACS still cannot meet the needs of WABP. This paper studied wide area communication mode of WABP, including wide area communication network (WACN) and service model. In terms of service model, the paper used IEC 61850 and proposed measures to reduce wide area communication flow. For "the WACN, the paper-proposed Ethernet over synchronous digital hierarchy (EOS) transmission mode by Ethemet access way, established WACN of WABP based on Ethernet virtual private lan (EVPL), and also, analyzed the network performance for the designed wide area communication mode according to evaluation indexes. The simulation on 14-bus network system verifies that the WACN can satisfy the network delay constraint needs and functional requirements of WABP by adopting the EOS transmission mode by Ethernet access way and appropriate network quality of service measures such as prioritization, priority queue (PQ) scheduling. Ethernet access way is obvious better than plesiochronous digital hierarchy (PDH) access way.
