Vocabulary is the basis of language learning, and the mastery of lexical chunks, as an essential part of vocabulary learning, helps greatly with the basic skills in the English language. This essay makes a brief introduction to the concept and classification of lexical chunks as well as the theoretical framework of teaching English vocabulary with lexical chunks as ideal units. The approach of lexical chunks teaching is then presented to raise students＇ awareness of lexical chunks and facilitate their effective language output.
