Oscar Wilde devotes his life to the pursuit of aestheticism, which confirms his intention to break away from the restrctions of morality and seek the individual freedom to the best~ He claims that art has nothing to do with morality and it transcends the realistic life~ The two collections of his fairy tales focus on creating the aesthetic artistic images that are far beyond morality. However, the embod- iment of moral values is seen everywhere in his fairy tales. Take Happy Prince as an example. The two images of Happy Prince and Swallow are, to some degree, the reflections of Wilde' s idealized moral principles. Wilde marches on between sense and sensibility, not being able to avoid creating stories that get the realistic world and his inner ideals involved.
