论现代大学制度的内涵及合理性

On the Connotation and Rationality of the Modern University System

现代大学制度主要是社会制度文明的产物,学术自由、通识教育、大学自治、教授治校以及董(理)事会制度等五个方面或维度构成了这一制度的表征和内涵。在大学与社会的互动中,现代大学制度所表征的理念或精神虽然遇到了前所未有的挑战,但它仍然在维持自身性质和应对社会需要中吸收了新的有效因子,使其制度的关系特征和文明内涵更加明晰,从而不断确证自身的合理性和有效性。

Modern university system is the product of social system civilization. The university has the charac- teristics and features of academic freedom, general education, campus autonomy, university administering by pro- fessors and board system. In the interaction between university and society, although the idea or the spirit of mod- ern university system face the unprecedented challenges, but it still absorbs new effective factors and enriches the quality of its own through responding to community needs, in order that it makes the relationship characteristics and culture connotation of the university system clear, constantly confirming its legitimacy and effectiveness.
