大学的治理模式没有固定的版本。英国大学的治理模式具有多样性,学者自治型、苏格兰传统模式、学者主导型、民主治理、共同治理、高等教育公司模式等多种模式并存。这种多样性的存在绝不是偶然,而是有着深刻的存在基础。大学治理模式是扎根一定的政治、经济、文化基础,结合本校实情,而反映出来的实际形态。对大学治理模式不能机械、教条地理解,不能照搬照抄。研究英国大学的治理模式,有助于深刻理解大学治理模式的多样性,为我国大学建构适宜的治理模式提供借鉴。

There is no fixed version of university＇ s governing models. In British universities, governing models are in great diversity, such as model of self - governance of scholars, traditional Scottish model, scholar - driven model, model of democratic governance, model of shared governance and model of Higher Education Corporation. It boasts deep foundations for the diversity rather than it is occasional. The governing models for universities, deep rooted in certain political, economical, cultural foundations and having taken the consideration of the current situa- tions of universities, are the reflection of the reality in universities. Therefore, governing models of universities can- not be copied or understood dogmatically. The research of governing models of British universities is beneficial to understand the variety of university governing models profoundly and will offer some reference on the construction of proper governing models for universities in our country.
