The formation of classics is not an isolated cultural phenomenon, but an exclusive construction process. In the post-colonial era,the classics bear profound historical complex and cultural imprint which are closely related to the imperialist ideology and culture power, and therefore it is of great necessity to rewrite those western classics so as to deconstruct the hegemony. For example, the rewriting of Robinson Crusoe into Foe highlights the strategy of dispelling western cultural hegemony, which reflects the strong cultural and political appeals.
