摘要
采用Fai rcl ough的批评话语分析框架和韩礼德的系统功能语法分析工具,对"9.11"事件后《中国日报》的6篇新闻报道进行了新闻标题的及物性分析、文本小句的主位结构分析和新闻媒体及背景的解读,揭示了如何通过批评阅读把握新闻报道隐含的意识形态意义、培养读者的批判眼光。
The theoretical framework of Fairclough's critical discourse analysis and the analytical tool of Halliday's systemic functional grammar in news texts analysis are employed to make a sample analysis of the critical news reading of China Daily on China' s response to the US-led campaign against terrorism after the September 11 events. The analysis made is undertaken in three stages: I) the transitivity analysis of the news headlines; 2) the textual meaning of the clauses; and 3) the explanations made to give grounding for the preceding analysis. The detailed analysis reveals that critical news reading not only contributes to readers' in-depth understanding of the news, but also the ideational meaning.
