The paper introduced the damage of main atomization air pump and pressure imbalance of auxiliary gearbox caused by the damage of gland ring of a 9E gas turbine, which led to the damage of bearing inside the gas turbine and other malfunction phenomenon. The possible malfunction reasons were analyzed, while some research were carried out for atomization air pump, auxiliary gearbox structure and work principles. Solutions were suggested during the operation and maintenance process, which were valuable to gas turbine users.
