《南社诗选》较为广泛地辑录了南社成立后的诗歌作品,在全书的编辑处理上有许多独到之处,对诗歌背景的说明和诗中典故的诠释用功精深,而且特别能体现自己的特点。但由于编纂时间较紧,也明显存在一些缺憾。

＂ Nanshe Poem Anthology＂ is an extensive collection of Nanshe poems since its establishment, with its unique editing features. It especially focuses on a detailed and profound illustration to the writing backgrounds and poetic allusions, which well marks its outstanding characteristics. However, there also exist certain defects, owing to the limited compilation time.
