遍布于世界各地,由美国教师联合会具体运作的国际教育援助项目是美国工会最大的项目之一。2001年以来,美国教师联合会在中东地区的教育援助项目服务于美国政府的劳工外交政策。在黎巴嫩,美国教师联合会违反全球劳工团结、博爱、友好及民主促进的原则,以国际教育援助为名,试图通过对黎巴嫩教师工会会员所进行的教师培训活动推行劳工帝国主义外交政策。
The American Federation of Teachers' (AFF) international program is one of the largest unions in the United States. The AFT's Middle East programs of international education aid have served to the U.S. government' s labor diplomacy interests in maintaining and extending American' s control and influence on the region since 2001, especially in Lebanon. Contrary to the AFT s high - minded rhetoric of global labor solidarity, philanthropic goodwill, and democracy promotion, the labor imperialism policy was extended by the the AFT training workshops for the Lebanese teacher unionists.
