Stock option in state owned firms in China at present is different from that in other countries.Stock option is a system to accelerate the manager to work hard with care of the firms future .There are four cities in China where the stock option mechanism with chinese ch aracters are being put into effect.The paper summarises the situation and probes the conditions in carrying out stock option.
