Suzan Lori Parks is an American playwright of the new generation and her plays reveal black peoples＇ existence situation and fortune. The protagonist in the play In the Blood finds herself in the material, emotional and home predicaments rooted in American social reality and the playwright＇ s factors, reflecting the impacts of American history and culture on black people＇s existence. Different characters in the predicament plays take strikingly different attitudes to different approaches to dealing with predicaments. However, when it comes to black females, their lives always end up with misery and desolation.
