An Annotation of the Cognitive System of Metaphors from the Perspective of Pragmatics of SLA Research

对隐喻的深度认知是研究英语语言的基础,它既是一种最常见和最复杂的语用现象,也是一种文化和心理认知现象。隐喻的复杂性集中体现在它的种类繁多、形态各异和意义隐晦。不了解隐喻的认知体系、多元化应用和心理认知,就不可能系统地掌握英语,乃至难以生动形象地发挥出语言的效果,因为只有系统地了解了隐喻的不同表现形式,才能对其加以识别、理解、欣赏乃至自由运用。

In recent years, College English teachers have shown more and more concern for the cognitive research of metaphors. In fact, metaphors are the basis of deep understanding of English language. They are not only one of the most commonly used and complicated figures of speech, but also a euhural and psychologically cognitive phenomenon. The complexity is mainly embodied in its great variety, vividness in style and veiled expressions in meaning. No one can say that he has grasped English if he is absolutely ignorant of its cognitive system and muhiformity. Therefore, one will meet with difficulties in recognizing, understanding, enjoying and using metaphor freely unless he has comprehended its different formations.
