Characteristics of polynomial is polynomial and linear algebra.It is a key point and difficult section in higher algebra. It combine with the minimal polynomial and often becomes mathematics graduate entrance examination of the difficulties and focus. Starting from the characteristic polynomial of matrix and the defini- tion of minimal polynomial based on their basic properties,the present paper analyzes the relationship be- tween the two is discussed and some useful conclusions are obtained.
