This paper talks about the re-color master WU Xing-kuan and holds that both his paintings and characters are very alike. Appreciation of his works are made from the following five aspects, i. e. , unique style, drawing as what he is; bold use of color, in strong contrast; chic strokes, strong or light as it should be ; powerful lines, to come or go as he wishes ; encompassing and rich themes, as if the whole world is in the painting.
