Glass fiber reinforcements are mainstreaming material for fiber reinforced plastics （FRP） currently. FRP has strong structural characteristics. There is close relationship between the material properties and structure and the processing technologies. The author discusses here the developments with good potential, including veils, reinforcements for thermoplastics, forms, with intent to communicate with the glass fiber composites industry of five types of glass fiber reinforcements warp-knitted fabrics, prepregs and per- and promote the joint development of up-stream and downstream industries.
