方国瑜与土司制度研究

Prof.Fang Guo-yu And the System Hereditary Headmen

方国瑜先生以"南中泰斗,滇史巨擘"著称于世,其学术人品多有前辈学者著文称颂,然学术界很少提及其土司制度研究的论述,其实,方先生土司研究有三个特点:其一注重文献基础,其二注重与社会经济发展关系,其三注重中国历史发展的整体性。

Prof.Fang Guo-yu is celebrated as a leading authority of the history and geography of Yunnan and the Southwest China. His academic research and moral quality was praised by many famous scholars and their articles. My thesis foeus on one of Prof. Fang＇ s research works： system of appointing national minority hereditary headmen,which is less discussed by other articles. Furthermore I will summarize three characteristic of Prof. Fang＇s research work on the chieftain system：first, paying attention to literature base;seeond,relating to soeio-eeonomie development;third, emphasizing the Integrity of the development of Chinese history.
