Effects of Hydrophobic Surface on Heat Transfer Performance and Oscillating Motion for a Pulsating Heat Pipe

摘要 本文在紫铜板制作4弯管闭合回路脉动热管,对脉动热管的各部分分别进行疏水处理,采用高速摄像研究脉动热管液弹的脉动运行特性及对传热的影响.实验结果表明,疏水表面影响脉动热管的传热性能,疏水处理后的脉动热管的热阻高于普通紫铜脉动热管,蒸发段的温度升高,且脉动热管易烧干。液弹的脉动频率降低,传热性能下降,完全疏水和蒸发段为疏水表面的脉动热管液弹几乎不脉动,传热性能与普通紫铜板相近. In this paper, a series of experiments were performed to investigate the effects of hydrophobic surface on the heat transfer performance and slug motion for pulsating heat pipes (PHPs). Experimental results showed that hydrophobic surface influenced the slug motion and thermal performance of PHPs. The liquid slug movements became weaker in hydrophobic PHP as opposed to the copper PHP, while the global heat transfer performance of the hydrophobic PHP decreased. Dryout phenomena occurred in the PHP with entirely hydrophobic surface or hydrophobic evaporation surface.
