Dynamic Effects of Multinational Outsourcing on the Local Enterprises Productivity in China

摘要本文基于价值链内厂商间关系考察了跨国外包强度和跨国外包方式分别对当地企业生产率变动的动态作用机制。在以杭州、宁波、湖州、温州等四个地市396家企业调研数据为样本的实证研究中,发现跨国外包强度与生产率之间具有显著的倒U型关系。将跨国外包方式分为价值链驱动模式和价值链治理方式之后,研究发现价值链驱动模式对当地企业生产率的影响存在不确定性,而价值链治理方式对生产率的影响却是显著的:随着跨国公司对当地企业控制程度的提高,生产率有着不同程度的下降趋势。研究结论意味着我国当地企业通过跨国外包获取一定的技术能力之后,积极发展自主技术才是适宜的发展路径。 This paper analyzes the dynamic mechanism of multinational outsourcing intensity and outsourcing model on the local enterprises productivity based on relationship among enterprises in the GVC. The paper finds that the relationship between multinational outsourcing intensity and local enterprises productivity is significantly inverted U-shaped with 396 enterprises data distributing Hangzhou,Ningbo, Huzhou, Wenzhou. Outsourcing model can be divided into two types： value chain driven model and value chain governance model. The results show that the effect of value chain driven model on productivity has some uncertainty. But the effect of value chain governance model is significant. Local enterprise productivity is declining with more control of transnational corporations. The results imply that it＇s the right developing way for our local enterprises to actively develop independent technical capability after they obtain certain technical ability through outsourcing.
