摘要 Sadly, Prof. Ko Shimamoto died on September 28, 2013, aged 63. He was born in Wakayama, Japan, on October 19, 1949, received his bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Kyoto University in 1974 and his PhD in Genetics from the University of Wisconsin- Madison in 1980. After his postdoctoral training at the Friedrich Miescher Institute in Basel, Switzerland, Sadly, Prof. Ko Shimamoto died on September 28, 2013, aged 63.
