SWOT analysis of Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation in higher education

SWOT分析是一种常用的战略分析工具。通过SWOT分析可以看出,深港高等教育合作具有地域、文化、政策、合作基础等方面的合作优势,也有深圳高等教育水平较低、规模较小的劣势;在国际化区域合作潮流推进、深港经济一体化的推动以及政府的不断倡导下,双方合作又具有较好的发展机会。同时,也有因外部环境的激烈竞争带来的一些威胁。为了进一步深化深港高等教育合作,应全面了解和把握深港高等教育合作的内外环境特点,充分利用各种机会,弥补合作劣势,夯实合作优势,扩大合作机会,化解威胁因素。

SWOT analysis is commonly used as a strategic analysis tool. Through it, we can see that Shenzhen has both its advantages and disadvantages in cooperation of higher education with Hong Kong, with the former lying in location, culture and government policy and the latter in lower level of higher education. Obviously, there will be spacious room for the cooperation to go as globalization and local economic integration going further. Meanwhile, possible threats against the cooperation should be clearly predicted.
