About the Cultivation of Awareness of Engineering in the Practice Teaching of the Garment Engineering Major

服装设计与工程专业培养具有服装设计、服装结构工艺及服装经营管理理论知识和实践技能的专业人才,是以工程素质和能力培养为主线,着力构建由基本技能培养、综合应用能力和初步设计能力培养、工程实践能力和创新能力培养三层递进的实践教学体系。理论学习中,应引导学生对工程问题的认识,激发学生对工程问题的兴趣;实践教学中,应培养学生的工程意识、实践技能和创新能力。

The purpose of garment design and engineering major is not only to cultivate professional theory and practical talents in garment design, garment structure technique as well as garment business and management. The main clue of ＂garment engineering＂ is to cultivate the engineering quality and ability, constructing a progressive practice teaching system, from basic skill cultivation to com- prehensive practical ability and preliminary design ability, and to practical engineering ability and in- novative ability. In theoretical teaching, the students＇ interests in engineering should be stimulated, while in practice teaching, their awareness in engineering, practical and innovative ability should be cultivated.
