Chinese traditional Confucianism and Taoism music aesthetics and Western musical aesthetics of Plato have affected their respective musical culture for thousands years. In the research of their music aesthetics, people can easily find Plato ＇s music aesthetics permeated with Confucian Ritual, Enlightenment and Taoist Great Music in pursuit of absolute pure beauty. The three musical aesthetics have their own characteristics, however there exist many striking similarities.
