This paper deals briefly with the introduction of the landscape design career of Wang Xiangrong, a well-known landscape architect in China,analyzes his design ideas from his representative work-the ＂Four Boxes Garden＂,and makes a preliminary discussion on his theory and practice of landscape from the following aspects：the social responsibility,the historical inheritance,the artistic expression,the ecological principle and so on.
