Mao Zedong was a great Marxist, the founder of New China and the founder of China＇s socialist cause. Mao Zedong＇s ideas are the reservoir of his opinions, theories, and doctrines which have come into being during his study, work, life and practice. Maoism is the application and development of Marxism--Leninism in China, and it has been proved to be the right theoretical principle and experience sum--up and it is the collective wisdom of CCP. Correct assessment of Mao＇s achievements and mistakes and establishment of the status of Maoism are related to how to treat the achievements of the party and the country over the past decades, are related to the party＇s solidarity and the country＇s stability, and are related to the future developing path of the party and the country.
