Fire fighting system plays a very important part for the shallow water production platform.There is no domestic classification rules for mobile offshore production platform fire fighting system up to now.In the design of fire fighting system for Shengli Oil field production platform,it has to make reference to other relevant rules and regulations as appropriate,So it is suggested to enhancing the research and technology harmonization work for this subject between departments concerned. In this paper,some successful designs of fire fighting system for different kinds of platforms used in Shengli oil field are introduced
