From the value, characteristics and function of BIM technology, this paper analyzed the development present situation of BIM technolo- gy in domestic and international, and discussed the its obstacles in domestic development and application, put forward the recommendations to promote its development, pointed out that the BIM was the innovation of construction industry from technology, traditional ideas and methods as- pects, would lead the building information into a new height.
