毛泽东是二十世纪的书法大家,他终生用笔不辍,博采众长,自成一体——毛体,其书法既是时代精神的体现,也是伟大人格的展示。其书风因时而变,而总体特色是偏于豪放、不废婉约。

Mao Zedong is a great master of Chinese calligraphy in twentieth century, Absorbing the strong points of all others, he kept practicing calligraphy in his whole life： and formed his own style Style of Mao. His calligra- phy is not only a demonstration of the spirit of the time hut also a display of his great personality. His calligraphy style was changing along with the time, but his general characteristics remain free and powerful, and sometimes graceful and subtle.
