空间理论视角解读吴尔夫《雅各的房间》

空间理论的兴起为文学批评提供了新的视角和研究方法,反常规、轻时间与情节的意识流作品有意无意也在强化空间的叙事与描写。以吴尔夫《雅各的房间》为研读对象,在空间理论的指导下对小说中"房间"这一意象进行解读,发现房间中的一切均体现男性的权力。房间贯穿故事始终,是故事发生的地点,而其本身也是一种权力的象征,其中充满了男性对女性的排斥和轻侮。

The rise of Spatial Theory offers new perspective and methods for literature criticism. Anti - traditional, less time - centered and plot - neglected works of stream of consciousness always consciously or unconsciously stress the im- portance of space. This paper intends to study the image of Room^with the guidance of Spatial Theory, and this paper finds out that everything as well as the room itself represents the male~ power, and that RoomJprevails in the whole novel which is the symbol of power and reflects the refusal for women from the male.
