运用Citespace软件,绘制1998-2012年我国信息生态研究热点及知识基础可视化图谱,观察到信息生态是以"信息人"、"信息环境"和"信息资源"达到和谐发展为目的,通过构建"信息生态系统"和"信息生态学",以"信息生态链"、"信息生态位"等研究为途径,同时这些关键词也是信息生态研究的热点问题。在研究热点的知识基础中,《信息生态与社会可持续发展》(图书)、《信息生态系统的剖析》、《信息生态问题初探》、《信息生态链:一个理论框架》、《信息生态失衡的根源及其对策分析》等都是很重要的基础文献。
