Heat treatment process of reactor pressure vessel of pressurized water reactor is introduced. The drawbacks of the entire heat treatment on terminating girth of the reactor pressure vessel are illustrated. Process program and implementation on the terminating girth of local stress relieving heat treatment are explained. The advantages and disadvantages of the local heat treatment are analyzed in order to provide a reference of stress relieving heat treatment process parameters for similar equipment.
