The Capacitance-Current Method of H.V. Impulse Measurement

A new method is introduced that the impulse voltages are measared by changing a differentiating capacitive current into low yoltage signals by use of wide-band current transformer, then inteqrating it to get a low voltage signals in direct proportion to H. V. impulse measured. The principles of selecting the elements of measuring system are discussed. Some test results of comparison measurements at full and chopped impulses are given.
