摘要
To investigate the changes of nitric oxide *NO) and glucos in cord blood in newborns with asphyxia. NO and glucose levels in cord blood were determined in 30 newborns with asphyxia (mild 21, severe 9), and 32 hcalthy neonatcs were served as control. The results showed that the NO and glucose levels in cored blood in the newborns with light and severe asphyxia were much higher than that of the control group (P<0.001). The NO and glucose levels in cored blood in the newborns with severe asphyxia were found to be significantly higher than those in the neonates with light asphyxia (P<0.001). Moreover, NO levels were closely related to glucose levels. The results suggest that determinations of NO and glucose in cord blood in newborns with asphyxia have important clinical significance.
