GCI: The De- contextualized Understanding of Preferred Interpretation Theory

GCI源于对格赖斯优先解读方案的反思,以不依赖于语境解释话语意义为主要特征。GCI理论关注表达式的类型意义与特殊含义之分,给出了关于优先解读的独立解释;GCI的类型意义思想丰富了奥斯汀言语行为理论,为更好地解释语篇回指现象创造了条件。

GCI derived from the reflection of preferred interpretation, which was advocated by Grice. It requires that we should explain the discourse independent of the context. GCI focuses on the difference between the type mean- ings and particularized meanings of utterances, and offers its own explaination of preferred interpretation. The idea of type meanings advocated by GCI has enriched the speech act theory of Austin and the theory of GCI has provided a better explaination for the phenomenon of anaphor.
