British universities attach great importance to the development quality and school-running level. Although there＇ re divided on the aspects of development strategies and school-running program, they all paid great attention to talents cultivation, scientific research and social service. The practice of improving the education quality in British universities provides us with the following implications： to enhance the quality of university development, it should make clear the school-running orientation, highlight the features of school- running, pay equal attention to teaching and scientific research, take initiatives in serving the economy and social development, and form a qualified teaching stuff.
