中医专业英语教学是土生土长的英语教育界的一朵奇葩,到目前已开展十几年了,它情况如何,遇到哪些问题,今后发展方向又是什么,业界人士都极为关注。本研究小组使用统计、分类、归纳等方法对过去十年来中医英语教学成果进行了研究。中医专业英语教学开普及中国文化英译之先河,其成败得失必将对其他专业英语教学有很大的影响,是以后专业英语教学的一个重要的风向标。

English teaching in TCM （Traditional Chinese Medicine）is totally new in China. It has been held for over ten years. People concerned may well have great interest in its present condition, including its problems, achievements, and developing directions etc. In this article, the author tries to answer these questions by the methods of statistics, classification and inductive. English teaching in TCM will pioneer the popularity of English translation for Chinese culture elements, which must have a great effect on the other professional English teaching activities.
