A Critical Analysis of Misunderstanding of Task-based Foreign Language Teaching

摘要 批评了任务型外语教学认识误区中的教学方法"技巧"论、形式聚焦排斥论和交际语境缺失论;论述任务型外语教学是方法而不是技巧,兼顾意义聚焦和形式聚焦,外语课堂教学语境和二语课堂教学语境同样优越;指出只要大量利用模仿性社会活动,创设功能性交际活动,恰当组织课堂社会活动,外语课堂教学同样能够采用任务型外语教学途径。 This article criticizes misunderstanding of task-based foreign language teaching such as "technique view", "neglecting form focus view", "context absence view". It is argued that task-based foreign lan- guage teaching is a method instead of technique, considering both meaning focus and form focus. Task-based foreign language classroom teaching makes use of same context as second language classroom teaching. It is maintained that task-based language teaching can be employed in foreign language classroom with simulated social interactional activities, functional communicative activities and classroom social activities.
