摘要
近十余年来，我国城市与建筑在整体上进入了一个快速发展期，城市结构与形态由传统向现代转型，社区作为人在社会中的空间归属单位，其发展也受到冲击，重建成为必然，作者以西安回民区的更新为例，从概念、发展历程、保护与更新方式等方面进行了探讨。
This paper,the second of a serial field-study report written by author ,analysed such a process by focus upon the drum-tower muslim ethnic community in Xi'An ,and found that how the spatial transform of the community is directly of indiredtly affected by the social transition,and how the spatial identity is linked with the ethnic ideology of the community or sub-communities.
