Marxist View of Mass and the Party's Mass Line

基于历史唯物主义世界观的马克思主义群众观的提出,是人类社会思想发展史上的伟大变革。中国共产党在领导艰苦卓绝的中国革命过程中形成和发展了一条适合于中国国情的群众路线。在社会主义革命和建设时期,中国共产党紧紧围绕防止执政党因脱离群众而变质的问题,对群众路线作了新探索,并在改革开放新时期不断创新发展。在新的历史起点上,我党深入开展群众路线教育实践活动,不断坚持和创新党的群众路线。

It is a great revolution in the history of human social thought development for the Party to raise the Marxist view of mass based on the world view of historical materialism. The Party formed and developed a mass line suited Chinese situation along with the arduous revolution. And in the period of socialist revolution and construction, the Party explored the mass line and innovatively developed it during the new period of reform and opening-up to prevent degeneration and resist corruption because of being out of touch with the people. From the new historical starting point, the Party carries out the mass line campaign, insists and innovates in its mass line.
