Differences Lying in the Meridian Theory and Collateral Theory in Huangdi Neijing

经脉理论与络脉理论是各自不同的理论,不能合并起来研究,经络研究就是因为选择了经脉和络脉不分的经络概念为研究对象,并误解为经络系统研究,实际是以经络取代经脉,以穴位连结线取代经脉循行线进行检测,抛弃经脉理论研究而陷入找经络系统形态结构及相关物质的研究误区,所以无法取得科学的结论。

The meridian theory and the collateral theory are two different theories and cannot be combined tbr study. The study on the meridians and collaterals confuses the different concepts between the meridians and co]laterals and misunderstands the study as one on the system of meridians and collaterals. In fact,study on the meridians is replaced by that on the meridians and collater- als,and the study on running routes of the meridians is replaced by that of the connecting lines of acupoints. The study of the me- ridian theory is ignored but wrongly focuses on the morphological structure of the system of meridians and collaterals and their re- lated materials. Therefore, scientific conclusion is unable to be obtained.
