On Characteristics of Foul Language Used by College Students

大学生是受过高等教育的人群,具有一定的文化素养,他们思维活跃,视野开阔,接受新事物的能力强,受网络语言、影视传媒的影响较大,大学生在使用不文明用语的过程中呈现出与其他人群像农民、商人、公务员等不同的特点。在表意特点上表现出委婉含蓄、詈骂意淡化;构词方面大多使用谐音、旧词别解、字母缩写等方法;在语用上不同场合、不同家庭背景、不同性别、不同性格的大学生呈现出不同的特点。

College students are people with higher education and a certain cultural quality. The using the uncivilized language is characterized by some different features from farmers, businessmen, civil servants. The euphemistic and scold meaning, homo- phonic word - formation , acronym an be found in their uses of the foul language. In pragmaties, it shows characteristics of different situation, family background, gender and different personality of college students.
