The political and economic relations are revealed with the major events of the contact between India and Myanmar under the British colonial rule to show the characteristics and the influence of the relations. With the deeper political, economic and social India- Myanmar relations, the fight for the national independence was unavoidable because of the colonial rule. Therefore, the mainstream of the relations was the cooperation of anti-British politics and the synchronal immigration and economic conflicts were non-mainstream. However, the India-Myanmar relations during the British rule were generally peaceful and cooperative.
