隐喻翻译揭示了跨文化交际的认知再现过程。在翻译中,译者不得不接受两种文化认知方式和语言形式矛盾统一的挑战,在两者间作出选择。《围城》译本的基本精神是尊重原作,保留原作风格,其中的隐喻翻译多保全原作意象,或对意象释意或转换,将意象隐去,代之以平常表达。

Metaphorical translation is a process of cognitive representation of cross-cultural communication. In the translation,the translator has to accept the chanUenges of the contraction and agreement brougth by two diffenent cognitive ways and language forms and make the choice. The translation of Fortress Besieged kept the original features of the original work,in which images were kept in the metephonical translation wholy or common expressions were used of the original images,
