摘要
大众文化是指在工业化和城市化进程中出现的,为了大众的娱乐消遣而大批量生产、借助现代科技迅速传播、并以此获得市场利润的文化产品。它在本质上是商业文化、消费文化、娱乐文化。大众指的是市场经济条件下的消费者。理解大众,要避免革命性误读和现代性误读。从不同的角度,可以发现大众文化的不同面向,其中,人民性、意识形态性、全球性与民族性是值得注意的特征。
Popular culture refers to the products and activities for making money through the public's amusements in the process of industrialization and urbanization. In essence, it is commercial culture, consumer culture and amusement culture. The public are consumers in the market economy. We should avoid misreading its revolutionary and modem character in order to understand the public. From different perspectives, we can discover the different aspects of popular culture, in which affinity to the people, ideological nature, globalism and nationality are noteworthy.
