北魏漆器的装饰纹样有瑞鸟禽兽的动物纹、几何纹、植物纹、历史故事、现实题材等纹样,继承了汉晋传统。除此之外,还有新的创新,如团花纹。外来纹样增多,如各式忍冬纹、联珠纹、童子纹样等,并大量采用与纺织品相近的联珠相套环图案结构。

Patterns of Northern Wei Dynasty lacquerware, which inherited the tradition of Han and Jin dynasties, include animals, Geometry, plants, historical stories, Realistic theme and so on. Besides, there are innovations （such as flowers） and foreign patterns（such as Honeysuckle, chain of pearls and children）. Textile patterns like chain of pearls and rings were widely used.
