《蚀》三部曲一举成就了茅盾的小说家之名,且产生了广泛而长久的文学影响。从创作心理上看,茅盾通过《蚀》三部曲营造了一面"镜子",追求主体的统一,想象更加成熟的理想自我。通过对照"时代女性"形象,茅盾终于摆脱了"迷狂"状态,走出了心理上的低谷,这也昭示着"《子夜》时代"的到来。
