CHI Chao＇s Significance of Law Observation has explained the process from monastic discipline to calmness, and then from calmness to wisdom. He profoundly expatiated on Buddhist essence and had exerted great influence on the un-derstanding of Buddhism by those with high literary reputations and his followers.
