This paper introduces the Node B in the TD-SCDMA radio access network architecture and the function of baseband unit. There are many failure occurring in the daily maintenance of the TD-SCDMA baseband unit, such as BBU IR optical transceiver module abnormalities, IR interface abnormal alarm, optical interface deterioration alarm, optical module mixed interpolation alarm, single board hearbeat failure alarm, single board hardware failure alarm, single board temperature abnormal alarm, clock input alarm and BBU maintain links abnormal alarm. This article analyzes the causes of these common fault alarms and proposes the solutions.
